ALZHEIMER'S RESPITE CARE PROGRAM
This program provides respite to family members who are caring for loved ones
afflicted with Alzheimer’s Disease. Trained caregivers will provide
companionship, supervision, and assistance with activities of daily living.
Eligibility:
· Must
have a written physician’s diagnosis of Alzheimer’s Disease or related Dementia.
· In-home
services must be provided in the State of West Virginia.
·
This service may not replace any existing respite services funded from other
sources.
Respite for Caregiver:
We provide beneficial activities including: exercise, word games, arts & crafts
and sing-alongs. A hot meal is also included.
Schedule:
Every Tuesday and Thursday on site at Ruffner Presbyterian Church located on the
corner of Greenbrier and Quarrier Streets in Charleston (call for times). This
respite program provides the primary caregiver the opportunity to leave their
loved ones with trained caregivers who will provide supervision, companionship
and assistance with activities.
