·    Black History Celebration: an event held annually at the Charleston Area Nutrition Site located at the Hooten/Wesley Tiskelwah Community Center in support and honor of our great black heros that made a difference in our daily lives.

·    Golf Tournament: An event held every year on June 20 (WV Day) to help raise money to support our various programs.  All prize money and gifts are donated by vendors from our local areas and surrounding Counties.

·    KVSS Auxiliary: A branch of KVSS that supports our programs through fundraising.   Each year a $1,000 “Allied Health Scholarship” is awarded to an outstanding full-time nursing student who meets the qualifications.  The Auxiliary takes great pride in presenting this scholarship award. The Auxiliary raffles a donated quilt each year in order to raise money to award this scholarship.

·    Senior Expo: This event is held at the Charleston Civic Center in May of each year and provides seniors with information and support services from the Community, County and State Agencies.

·    Senior Picnic: Our Annual event which is held each year in July at Shawnee Park.  This event is “free” to seniors of the Kanawha Valley.  Seniors share a day of socializing, food, music, and fun.

·    Senior Fall Festival: A two day retreat (mini-vacation) for seniors.  The event provides: craft making, hair styling, jewelry making, fishing, nightly entertainment, bingo, a senior beauty pageant and much more. 

·    Senior Computer Literacy Class: Small classes with hands on training in computer basics.

·    Senior Walking Club: Meets monthly for health related informational guest speakers, food and fun.
