Social Services Representatives/Licensed Social Workers:
KVSS has trained Social Services Representatives and licensed Social Workers to
answer questions concerning services, to link individuals to Community
resources, to advocate for Senior Citizens and to assist with developing a plan
of services to meet individual needs.
Services:

Caregiver Training – Programs for people who have a family member for whom they
provide care.
·
Durable Medical Equipment –Lending program of durable medical equipment.
·
Social Support – Provides information and services to seniors, and linkage with
in-house and Community resources.
·
Outreach – is a service to seek out and identify inactive or unknown individuals
and to encourage them to use existing services and benefits.
·
SHIP (Senior Health Insurance Program) – is a program designed to assist people
with insurance related situations.
·
Farmer’s Market Vegetable Vouchers (available annually and posted in local
newspapers).

Family Caregiver Program:
Are you giving unpaid care to a family member? If you are, then we offer many
helpful services to ease your job.
Services:
·
Information and Assistance (including a lending library).
·
Counseling & Support Groups (Community resources, linkage to other services).
·
Training in Alzheimer’s Care.
·
Respite in the home – Respite in a congregate setting to encourage
socialization.
